Wanted Man Arrested

.SAN MEGUIL, Zamboanga del Sur - Operatives of San Miguel Municipal Police Station together with Jasaan Municipal Police Station, Misamis Oriental PPO, PRO10 conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok II, Barangay Lantawan, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur at about 6:30 PM of June 9, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Jerry Andea Y Quinimon, 24 years old, single, and a resident of Purok II, Barangay Lantawan, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Violation of Sec 5, Art. III, RA 7610, docketed under Criminal Case No R-CDO 19-01228 CR, dated 16 April 2019, issued by Presiding Judge, RTC, Misamis Oriental, Branch 37, Cagayan de Oro City with bail bond fixed at (Php200,000.00).

Subject person is now temporarily detained at San Miguel MPS Detention cell while waiting for commitment order from the court

2 Held in Zambo Sur for Violation of RA 10591 COMELEC Gun Ban

SAN MIGUEL, Zamboanga del Sur -  Two individuals were arrested for Violation of RA 10591 COMELEC Gun Ban at Purok 2, Barangay Mati, San Miguel Zamboanga del Sur about 1:05 PM of May 12, 2019.

Police Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director identified the suspects as Guillermo Pobadora Y Abila, 44 years old, male, married, a resident of Purok 1, Barangay Mati, San Miguel Zamboanga del Sur.

Confiscated from him was one (1) unit KG9 Cal.45 light weapon, bearing serial number 784375 loaded with twenty (20) pieces live ammunitions of Cal .45. pistol and Abdulmanan Maulana Y Guiaman, 42 years old, male, married, a resident of Purok Padaw, Sitio Quarry, Barangay Benuatan, Dinas Zamboanga del Sur.

Confiscated from him was one (1) unit Caliber 45 pistol, bearing Serial Number AOC41924, loaded with five (5) live ammunitions.

Accordingly, the two suspects were among the armed supporters of unknown candidate allegedly harassing at Purok 2, Barangay Mati, San Miguel Zamboanga del Sur.

Some of the armed supporters fled from the area when the responding PNP Quick reaction force (QRF) of San Miguel Municipal Police Station arrived at the area. Accordingly, suspects were allegedly on board with a Mazda vehicle, color green, bearing plate number WQG137 driven by suspect Guillermo Pobadora Y Abila when being held by the responding police elements. Suspects were brought to San Miguel Municipal Police Station, San Miguel Zamboanga del Sur for proper disposition

Murder Suspect Arrested in Zambo Sur

SAN MIGUEL, Zamboanga del Sur (April 12, 2019)  - PNP team of San Miguel Municipal Police Station conducted manhunt operation at Purok 3, Barangay Betinan, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur at 9:45 AM of April 11, 2019.

Police Brig. Gen Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director said the operation resulted to the arrest of Felipe Sanlao Jr Y Recto, 26 years old, male, single, a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Betinan, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur.

He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest docketed under Criminal Case No. 19-039, dated April 4, 2019, issued by Presiding Judge of RTC, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur for the crime of Murder with no bail bond recommended.

Accused is now temporary detained at San Miguel Municipal Police Station locked-up cell for documentation and proper disposition.

Shooting Incident victim dead with 8 GSW

SAN MIGUEL, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 22, 2019)_ - Shooting incident transpired at Purok Sta Lucia, Dao-An, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:00 Pm of February 21, 2019.

 The victim identified as Lumer Manigo Calunod, 43 years old, male, married, farmer and a resident of the Purok 7, Betinan, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim together with four other individuals were having drinking spree at cita videoke house situated at the above-mentioned place, wherein at about 5:00 PM of the same date, the victim together with the above mentioned companions were walking towards the resident of one their companion and at about 6:30 PM of the same date.

 The victim was found lying dead at the side of the narrow road who sustained eight (8) visible gunshot wound at the back of his body from an unidentified caliber of firearm.

PNP elements of San Miguel MPS is now conducting follow-up investigation to possibly identify and arrest the suspect/s

Stabbing Incident

MAHAYAG, Zamboanga Del Sur (Jan. 2, 2018) - Stabbing incident transpired at Purok 3 Barangay Kaangayan, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 1:00 PM of January 1, 2019.

The victim was identified as Jonard Fortilla Y Maningo, 28 years old, single; farmer and a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Kaangayan, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur who was stabbed to death by the suspect identified as Arnel Mariano Y Balhasan, 34 years old, with live in partner, male, farmer and a resident also of the above-mentioned place.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the occurrence of said incident victim was sleeping at the house of suspect and when the latter arrived, thereto without any hesitation intentionally stabbed the victim ones hitting his stomach that resulted to his instantaneous death.

Motive of the incident is believed to be extreme jealousy. The PNP personnel of Mahayag MPS are now conducting hot pursuit operation for the possible apprehension of the suspect.

P1-M Razed by Fire Incident

SAN MIGUEL, Zamboanga Del Sur (Jan. 1, 2018) - Fire incident transpired in a Commercial establishment located at Purok Imelda, Poblacion, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur at about 8:05 PM of December 31, 2018, wherein the following stalls owned by Marcial Replagao, Edilberto Panugan, Erwin Gaas, Eugenio Librea, Arman Ruben and six (6) tent vendors owned by Merlyn Sugabo, Edrolin Palgan, Mary-ann Imperial, Flordelyn Camanian, Roynick Imperial, and Junie Rex Sugabo was razed by fire.

Investigation conducted by the responding BFP personnel of Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur disclosed that the fire was started at the restaurant/stall owned by Edilberto Panugan and quickly spread to neighboring stalls.

The incident was responded by fire trucks from Municipality of Lapuyan, Dinas, Guipos, Margosatubig and Pagadian City Fire station.

Fire was under control at about 8:30 in the evening and declared fire out at about 10:10 in the evening of the same date. Estimated cost of damage is more or less one million pesos (P1, 000, 00.00). Cause of fire is still under investigation by the Bureau of Fire Protection personnel.
